shareFrom what I gather, it's a LOT more like Lord of the Rings than asoiaf. In other words, it's more like a proper fantasy tale - pure good vs. pure evil, and the rest of that nonsense. And it's 14 books - many initial fans of the books weren't able to get to the end because of too much filler material. In other words, it seems to be supbar to the Game of Thrones in nearly every way.
