Where is the Night King going?

Does he want to marry Cersei? Is he looking for a queen?

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Is he going to the Isle of Faces? It's an island in the middle of a lake in Westeros. It's supposed to have some significance to the children of the forest and the first men.

He has two basic options, to swing through the North by land (possibly stopping at the Isle of Faces), or to freeze the coastal seas and march along the east coast of Westeros. Zombie armies can move remarkably fast, since they don't need sleep they can march 24/7, and since they don't need food they don't have to bother with supply trains.

Personally, I hope he takes option #2, and there's a battle on frozen seas around Dragonstone and a zombie apocalypse sweeps over King's Landing. Wouldn't that be too cool for words?

If he went along the coast perhaps he would reach Dragonstone. Is there something significant about the obsidian cave, and the drawings depicting the children, the first men, and the others?

Remember when Daenerys had the vision of the red keep, and ashes falling?

What if Dragonstone is a dormant volcano, and the Night King wants to wake it up and destroy Westoros?

Did the others cause the doom of Valyria!?

Oh yes, I remember Dany's vision of snow falling on the iron throne, because I think it either has a double meaning, or a non-literal meaning. She saw snow on the throne, remember, and we've just now found out that the rightful heir to the throne is named SNOW.

Which doesn't rule out a snow-covered zombie apocalypse in King's Landing, both meanings of the vision could be true.

Marrying Cersei is a good bet. I bet she'd do it too.

Maybe he wants to reverse the curse and become a person again to marry Cersei. Like Beauty and The Beast.

He's looking for his origin story. He warged so hard that he broke through the 4th Wall and happened upon a couple of Youtube GOT channels and the IMDB GOT message boards where he learned that George RR Martin has not even finished the books. Worse yet, he saw what George RR Martin looked like and decided to end it all, not before he takes down GRRM's entire creation.

I personally think he is only fighting to unite the different sides. If the Dead kill all the living they can't survive, they have no purpose. They are only there to instill fear in the living.
