The biggest disappointment would be

if Tyrian is really playing for the Lannister interest's the whole time. Knowing full well that if Dany and Jon go to Kings Landing, they will immediately be toast.

It wouldn't be a surprise if Cersei has something planned, but if it came out that Tyrian was involved the whole time would be crushing.

reply

Thats not going to happen. And the Lannisters can't get the best of them at the parlay since she is coming with her army and her dragons

reply

That is just so out of character for him and I would loathe it. I know a lot of people think Varys will be the traitor but I wonder if he ends up innocent but gets burned anyway.

reply

I think Varys is being straight with Dany...he was a Targ loyalist from the get-go so he seems pretty solid to me Vicky...that whole 'assassinate teenage Dany' thing from S2 aside lol...

reply

Lol, I agree as well, aside from the assassination plot, I believe Varys when he says he stands for the people to paraphrase. There have been many times when he tried to save Ned while surviving the game or politics in KL.

reply

Tyrion seems to be an honest type...
One of the 'big' moments for me was seeing his dismay when he saw the wreckage of the Lannister army after Dany attacked them...he chose a side and gambled everything but hes still ripped up seeing his house laid to waste...so no, i doubt hes being a double agent type
He really seems a tragic/'heroic' figure to me Tae

reply

Yeah, except the animosity from the past was very real - his father and sister wanted him dead and his brother is on an icy level with him. He believes in the family name but not necessarily the people who represent it. He would rather no-one was killed in the process of Dany obtaining the throne but indeed he may be given pause for thought if Dany is showing signs of meglomania and an unreasoning clutching for power...like Cersei.

reply

Reasonable arguement...
Cant disagree...
