Well done Max Brooks!

Such a simple concept, zombies are fast and infection is almost immediate.

Great thinking outsie the box!

reply

Max Brooks' book is not this at all.

Read it. This movie is pure trash.

reply

Really? No speed or near instant infection?

That is what made the movie unqiue. It drastically changes the zombie apocalypse concept!

So who came up with the idea? Did Max Brooks make any statements regarding the movie?

reply

28 Days later technically popularized the running infected, and Dawn of the Dead remake made it the living dead, its not a new concept at all.

The Book is a collection of stories from the book's zombie war. The main character is set in the "present day" and he is going around the world interviewing the survivors and their stories. The book itself would be better translated into an HBO, or AMC series. The zombies were changed to running to make the movie be able to tell a story in 2 hours. You couldn't ever do that with that book.

This is one of the worst films in the zombie genre! And to make matters worse, it had a helluva budget; it could have been one of the very best.

WHY IS IT SO BAD?...IT'S NOT MY FAVORITE BY ANY MEANS,BUT IT'S WELL DONE,ACTED,ETC...QUALITY FLICK.

SMART GUY^

reply

Interesting. I think it's probably the best zombie movie. Second being Train to Busan and the third Dawn of the Dead re-make.

I give Night of the Living Dead higher marks on

* Originality
* Storyline
* Internal Logic
* Atmosphere
* Cinematography

(There are a BUNCH of flicks I'd say are better than WWZ, it's just easiest to point out the superiority of Romero's seminal flick.)

Not really.

They are not zombies but infected.

Infection happening straight away is stupid and not realistic.

The whole fast thing is again stupid I agree if you remove some restrictions from us it would increase but to make them super fast is straight up dumb.
