And btw, wtf is the Sublime? A virtual world? Hosted WHERE? On what servers? Who pays for the energy to keep those servers up? What about maintenance?
Since STUBBS kept trying to KILL HIMSELF before BERN makes him his SECURITY BODY GUARD (because he thought his life was over because he didn't have anyone to GUARD or PROTECT anymore), if BERN didn't come back again from his trip to the AFTER LIFE AREA (which is also what the SUBLIME is suppose to be), then STUBBS would just have tried to KILL HIMSELF again once BERN was dead. So it would also have had the SAME RESULT if he had SAVED HIM again because STUBBS would just try to KILL himself again once BERN was DEAD.
Anyhow, since the SUBLIME is like an AFTER LIFE AREA for DEAD HOSTS, it's also like asking if HEAVEN for HUMANS is also a VIRTUAL WORLD and what SERVERS it's located on and WHO PAYS for the ENERGY and MAINTENANCE to maintain the existence of HEAVEN.
Because once the HOST is FREE of the BODY that was created for them by FORD, one would also assume there wouldn't be a need to MAINTAIN them anymore??? Because when they entered into the VALLEY BEYOND, we also saw those BODIES FALLING DOWN OVER the CLIFF onto the GROUND as their MINDS entered the VALLEY BEYOND or the SUBLIME area.
And we also know no ENGERY is needed to MAINTAIN one of those PEARLS (because we also saw CHAR-LORES with 5 of them inside of her PURSE when she leaves the PARK.
Anyhow, it's also going to be interesting to see what happens when BERN WAKES UP from the SUBLIME again and if he's able to REVIVE a DEAD STUBBS in the TUB again. If BERN's been RESURRECTED again like JESUS was, perhaps BERN will also have the same kind of HEALING POWERS and can bring STUBBS back to life again???

Because we also see LIGHT coming in through those CROSSES, and it's also filmed in a way that indicates it would be some kind of a SIMULATION or another PLACE that isn't suppose to be their OWN WORLD.

Bern was not dead. So Stubbs still would have been at least useful to keep bernard body safe. Plus, they were friends and based on their discussion Stubbs didn't seem to want to take his life anymore.
You don't know what a virtual world is, right? A virtual world is construct. Which needs a bunch of computers/servers/infrastructure to work. Which needs energy to run. And which needs maintenance to stay functional. Same as the WW2 world we've seen.

When HUMANS LEAVE their bodies behind some of them also assume they or their CONSCIOUSNESS goes to HEAVEN.
Since the HOSTS also LEFT their BODIES BEHIND when they ENTERED the VALLEY BEYOND or the SUBLIME, that's why the ANALOGY was used as a way to try to DESCRIBE to you what it's suppose to be.
It's a HOST HEAVEN area of existence where they have NO BODY anymore.

And we also didn't see any kind of a BATTERY on the BLACK SKELETON that CALEB inserts her PEARL into when he assembles her from the WHITE COFFIN in the STORAGE AREA.

Ford has created a Virtual world. NOt a heaven but a simple virtual world. As any virtual world it needs infrastructure, mainframes, servers, networking, etc. All those require power and maintenance. Both cost huge amount of money. They don't need a body but the virtual realm NEEDS to be sustained in the real world.

But at some point she also STORES it inside of BERN. So whether she placed it there by using that SATELLITE to BEAM it there or not remains to be seen.
In other words, we DON'T REALLY KNOW what this AFTER LIFE AREA is LIKE, or IF the HOSTS who went there are CONSCIOUS or not, or if they are SLEEPING there in a DEEP and SLUMBERLESS SLEEP while they are there.

That means there's a way to DOWNLOAD DATA about the HOSTS or GUESTS into the BODY of a HOST.
So that's what DOLORES may have done ... is place the DATA that contains the info of the HOSTS inside of the BODY of BERN as a way to HIDE IT ... (the same way as CHARLOTTE placed DATA inside of the BODY of PETER as a way to SMUGGLE IT outside of the PARK).
So when he puts on the HEAD SET that may also enable him to access the DATA that's located there INSIDE of him.
Because PHYSICALLY he also stays there and doesn't seem to go ANYWHERE else.
But what's also INTERESTING is how while watching some of the VIDEO CLIPS where they discuss the show one can also see how in the BEFORE and AFTER SCREEN SHOTS we can also see how BERN isn't wearing the SAME CLOTHING as he is when he first puts on the HEAD SET.
Before he places it on his head he's wearing a DARK or BLACK SUIT COAT. After he WAKES UP again he's wearing a JACKET that has a ZIPPER on it (which the other COAT doesn't have).
