The main goal of a video game movie is to capture the spirit of the video game. It doesnt need to be exactly like the game, it just has to work as a movie. This movie was alright for what it was trying to be

shareNeed For Speed was definitely fun. Warcraft deserved to do better it was the closest movie to the video Games. This was a great movie. I actually thought the game was a bit too hard for me so I thought the movie was better because I didn't have to play it lol.
shareNever played the games but really enjoyed it. A suitable arabian nights fantasy by way of Pirates of the Caribbean.
shareI realize this post was before Detective Pikachu, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Castlevania came out, so I’ll just mention them without comparing.
I enjoyed this movie, but I’d rate it below the Angelina Jolie Tomb Raider movies, the 2006 Silent Hill movie, and the Warcraft movie.
Prince of Persia is about as good as the 90s Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter movies.
I like Prince of Persia. I also like the 2018 Tomb Raider and definitely Silent Hill.
