Stop Blaming the Kids! (Spoilers)

I'm tired of hearing people saying "if only the kids stayed put", etc etc

If we want to use this childish virus origin complaint lets get it right...

Blame the stubborn animal activists who freed the monkeys in 28 Days later

reply

True about the monkies...but if the kids had stayed put, they could have *beep* the entire outbreak situation....

reply

Blame it on the scriptwriters who would have us believe those in charge would be stupid enough to allow kids into the place to begin with.

reply

Yup, totally agree.

reply

If anything I would blame the scientists why would you be conducting experiments like this in a low level lab these people can get into.

You wouldn't

A lot of regulations that virus would have been in a secure location and had to be signed off on.

It would have made more sense if staff member was infected or an animal they didnt know was infected they tried freeing from some 3rd world country.

The beginning of the original film seemed to be a matter of coincidence just to have the film itself. Maybe the virus was not entirely understood of what it was, it's ability, the low level security and of course the coincidence that activists broke in that night.

reply

The activist were at fault for the first outbreak for sure.

The kids were maybe 30% responsible for the second. The real fault lies with the rest of the world for even letting anyone set foot on Great Britain ever again. Realistically, if a virus such as this ravaged great Britain, the rest of the world would be thanking it's lucky stars that shit happened on an island, and proceed by fire bombing every inch of that country or making it a hard quarantine zone.

By the end of the 2nd movie, Europe, Africa, and Asia would be completely fucked!
