Breaking Bad...

I watched Little Miss Sunshine tonight for the first time in 5 or 6 years, and I realized something shocking. It starts in Albuquerque, NM and features Bryan Cranston as a businessman and Dean Norris as a cop.

Clearly, it's a prequel to Breaking Bad. One set while Walt was trying unsuccessfully to earn a new family fortune after losing his stake in Gray Matter and before Hank joined the DEA.

It makes perfect sense. I'm surprised they didn't just drop Alan Arkin's body into a 55 gallon drum of hydrochloric acid.

I came here to this board today to pretty much say what you just said! It's 2023 and I just watched the movie in a hotel for the 2nd time, but the 1st time was on DVD way before BrBa.

I decided to scan the existing posts first rather than selfishly and unnecessarily create my own post, which all too many users here do.

Nice post. I concur! Definite a prequel. I wonder if Bryan Cranston or Dean Norris ever suggested a mention of "child beauty pageants" to Vince Gilligan. It doesn't really fit I guess, but would've been a fabulous Easter Egg to lay somewhere.

Also in this film was Jimmy’s buddy in Better Call Saul.

Prequel? This film simply has two actors in supporting roles who happened to play prominent parts in Breaking Bad. That's it.
