Ezra had nothing to do with this film flopping

Look at The Rock with Black Adam. Even the popular lead actor couldn't save that disaster of a film. You want to blame someone, blame Zack Snyder and what he originally started with this DCEU. If you're gonna be releasing tonally confused movies, all you're doing is alieanating audiences to the point where less and less people will come see the film

Ezra definitely hurt the box office further though. His antics prevented him from being able to promote. It is a perfect storm that mitigated the disaster

Agreed. Most people outside of those on message boards like this and comics fans don't know who Miller is, let alone what he's been up to. Snyder was a mistake. WB took too long to fire him, and then didn't follow any consistent plan once he'd gone.

My problem with Black Adam is I'd never heard of him. An obscure character as far as I'm concerned. The Flash however should have been able to tap into the fans of the numerous iterations we've seen over the years.

I agree.

The Flash had a successful TV series. He's one of the better known DC characters. I think Black Adam starring the Rock probably helped, but not enough.

I like tonally confused movies, like the 2014 Lone Ranger, for instance. Most people want to see a comedy or an action movie or a drama or a dark character study. A good movie can include all of that.

But Black Adam wasn't tonally confused, it was dark and dusty and pointless and grim throughout.
