Better than Shaun of the Dead

hot fuzz is WAY better!

I think people just assume that "the first is always the best". I wasn't crazy about Shaun, so I had no desire to see Hot Fuzz. I'm happy that my buddy dragged me to the theater to see it, Hot Fuzz is one of my all time favorite comedies.

Very old thread here i see but I agree that it was a better and funnier film than SOTD. While it at it's moments i feel the third act was somewhat weak where Hot Fuzz was strong throughout.

I thought Shaun of the Dead was an excellent, unique film, but overall I highly prefer Hot Fuzz. Its got everything, but improved, and it's way, way funnier. The only thing it's missing is the zombies, which I'm not really a big fan of, anyways.

For me, the order is Hot Fuzz, Shaun Of The Dead, The World's End.

I love SofD for two genius moments: "How to be a zombie" acting class and, of course, "Don't stop me now"

Not a fan of Shaun of the dead. Hot fuzz is freaking hilarious...
