Will we ever see Venom again?

And I mean properly? The only thing I didn't like with this Venom was his screen time. If they just would have let Eddie Brock escape or go to prison and bring him back in a 4th one I'd be happy with that. I guess we'll never that Venom spin off.

Thankfully yes! And this time with an all around better actor taking on the role of Eddie Brock (Grace and the character’s execution was all wrong in SM3).

I think, so far, everything about this Venom spin-off looks very promising. Even with the potential of Spidey not appearing in it, I love the premise of the movie and feel the character will be given justice; and I don’t say that because this is something the filmmakers have conveyed. Also, there is no doubt Tom Hardy is ideal for the role of Eddie Brock and Venom. I can already see him suiting the role of the lethal protector the best.

We might be in for an intense ride!

Raimi was never going to give him a whole movie. Raimi hates Venom and I hate that fact. But whatever. Honestly I am not optimistic about the new Venom movie. I really hate the idea of a solo Venom movie that has nothing to do with Spider-Man.

Or worse, a Venom movie in which Venom only appears for minutes. I can only hope they have a strong story here and are trying to avoid making another generic origin movie.

Venom should have just been the middle portion of the film. Keep Peter busy while Harry gets his schemes into full motion, the symbiote is established and out of the way for a spinoff Raimi don't have to mess with, back to the main story and the big conclusion with Harry and Sandman. Keeping this version of Venom around and building the climax of the film around him was a mistake.
