Gabriel.

Another movie that features the angel Gabriel, again once more as a villain & this is what I came on here to ask. Why? Constantine is far from the only movie to feature Gabriel and as the main villain at that. Let’s count them down shall we? “The Prophecy” with Christopher Walken as a very evil & dark Gabriel. “Legion” with Paul Bettany, Dennis Quaid, & the coolest, kickass Gabriel yet, in Kevin Durand. Then you have of course this movie & a couple of others that I forget the names of.

Again why make poor ol’ Gabriel out to be a villain? This would never happen with Michael. Gabriel is only the one tasked with delivering humanity the greatest news ever of the birth of Jesus Christ so in gratitude why make him out to be satanic in his motivations? You do have others to choose from, ones more “suited” to be portrayed as evil such as Uriel, the angel who holds the key to the bottomless pit. He’s said to be the “Angel of hell” as it were. So why pick on poor Gabriel?
