Chiacago vs Singin' in The Rain
I saw Chicago before Singin' in the rain and I was very impressed by it.
After seeing Singin' I'm not too sure.
They are quite different but both are musicals.
I would like to know what other people have to say.
I remember seeing Chicago when it was in the theater. I went with a GF and feel I had an open mind. I generally like musicals while many people don't. Something about it just didn't work for me. It seemed artificial and thought itself clever as opposed to being a lovingly crafted entertainment. I think my friend thought the same. I liked All That Jazz and I imagine Damn Yankees is a lot of fun too, but Chicago seemed a little bit arch for.
