best reality tv show

i used to watch this all the time as a kiddo with my mom, she was a big travel buff and this was one of those shows we both like a lot. just downloaded 30 seasons of it and rewatching it now. bringing me back a lot of great memories. nice to see a lot of the places in this show that i recently saw in real life while growing up and traveling this world before the nwo government released this covid bioweapon and made that impossible. great programing!!

reply

Yeah, it's a lot of fun. It was interesting to see what some places are like that I'll never visit, and some differences between tourist ads and the real thing.

reply

yeah it is great to see especially as a kiddo. i ended up living outta cars and hostels and really toughing it out in my late teens and early 20s to see as much of the world as i could with as little money as possible. rewatching this show i realized how much it influenced me as a kid to live the awesome lifestyle i did before this virus. u dont need a lot of money to travel if u act like a soldier and tough it out

reply

That sounds great.

It's definitely the best of these elimination style reality shows. It's all focused on the gameplay, not the drama. So it's just globe trotting competition. Lots of fun.

reply

yeah its just an all around feel good show. so funny too

reply

I learned more watching this show than I ever did in Geography and History class.

reply

yeah it is very educational. another thing that makes this show great is the early episodes are from so long ago all this bullshit sjw pc nonsense didnt take over yet so it has comedy moments u can never find in our bland crybaby modern tv era. i was watching season 6 recently and one of the contestant ladies said "i am a retard with directions". i cant explain how much joy i got from hearing that. it was like a time machine took me back to my childhood when everyone was saying that word without impunity. now words like that, f word, and n word are a shootable offense in this crazy clown world we live in

reply

The earlier episodes were more interesting to me because they had a wider range of contestants. It included older people, disabilities and phobias. The limited type of contestants is boring so I stopped watching.

Ditto Survivor. No more Rudy types and he was quite a character.

reply

Maybe you should blame it on your fellow lunatic Democrats. CBS head mandated a diversity quota on Survivor, which is part of the reason the show has become stale.

reply

My complaint is that there is LESS diversity.

reply

There's way more racial/gay diversity at the expense of the diversity you are asking for. By appeasing minority groups the show has become stale.

reply

"It included older people, disabilities and phobias."

Older people = over 65, preferably in 70s and even 80s
Disabilities = Physical like little person Charla was good, deaf, missing limb, paralysis, etc.

I want more regular folks instead of 20-something athletic-types.

Another fun aspect of the show is watching how stress effects relationships. Whether it's friends, couples or family, everything is hunky dory until things get stressful. Then the tempers start flaring and it's pretty interesting to watch how things can unravel.
