6.8? C'mon people!

It's worth at or near a 10.

The cumulative 6.8 is from reviews of people who can't see past Robin Williams as a comedic actor. It's quite disappointing as One Hour Photo was (in my estimation), his career's best work.
You acutely sense the emptiness and loneliness in Sy Parish, the deep need he has to feel connected to a family, even one that's not his own. The photos are his window into a life only dreamed about. And the ending is so surprising, discovering he was a sexually abused child. It's powerful and heart-rending. This movie deserves an 8.5 or above.

I just rewatched the film after almost two decades and I agree.

This film is great and deserves a 9 out of 10.

meh. I can think of maybe 4 films that deserve a 10. even those have flaws. it seems to be a score, in my opinion, to aim for but that none can actually meet (as no films are perfect)

a 9 means pretty damn close to perfect, astounding and a truly cut above the rest. was this film that? I mean to each their own but id say no

Most horror movies have lower ratings than they should. The fact that movies like It Follows, The Witch, and Midsommar all have 6.8's makes me think people just don't get horror films. This one included. It's a modern thriller masterpiece.
