Pilot Episode

I am rewatching the series. First off Holly getting hired that easily with all her fears is unrealistic. If it were that easy I would work for the Elite CSI unit. Then the comment by Catherine about cops not knowing a fingerprint. Cops at least work with effed up, creepy, ass hole living people. Working with the dead is nothing compared to that. Sure they have Masters and Phds which is honorable. But to rudely downplay what Detectives and Cops due is prickish. Law and Order does that too about the uniforms being stupid. Hollywood loves to make everyone look like pompous jerks. Which only confirms that many successful people are....pompous jerks (Hollywood). Anyone can get a degree if they WANT it. Some people choose to "just be" a Detective.

I'm rewatching the show as well. Yeah, I hate when they feel they have to insult others to make us root for the main characters. There's no logic in that. It's really a turn-off for me.

Thanks for replying to my rant lol. I am glad I am not alone :)

Not to mention that crime scene analysts, in real life, do just that... analyse the crime scene.

They don't have any authority. No arresting/questioning suspects. Just analyse the scene.

The show is entertaining, but I'm noticing how cheesy and cringy some of the dialogue is. I'm three episodes into season 1 (after not watched the show in 15 years) and, although enjoyable, has not aged very well.

Holly was nepotism, very realistic.
