The Little Mermaid didn't come out until Nov. of 1989. This movie was set in 1988.

I think this was in the goofs section of imdb.

No, it's Ariel the unicorn -- you'll see her holding it.

The line is "Throw Ariel in the garbage disposal."

Temporal paradox, of course.
