IDK. I didn't like Rick and his dominance felt more and more setup as it went along. Glad he didn't win but i'm more annoyed that Chris did. And when I say Chris, I mean Who???? Didn't care for the twist at all this season. The concept worked much better with the Redemption Island format where the contestants had to keep dueling to stay in the game.
What I still don't understand was how he was able to give up his immunity and just challenge rick to a duel and somehow that automatically put Gavin in the final 3 without doing anything? That made zero sense to me.
I agree with fans who think Chris's sacrifice was the single most brilliant move ever. But the producers needed to show us more of what went on at EoE so we felt vested in those players, too.
shareIt was a great move, but he only played the game for 12 days vs 39 days for Julie and Gavin. Its not fair for the people who didn't get voted out.
shareBut how do you know the vote was fair? Showing us more of what they’ve always kept hidden would be a great evolution in the game. I love the idea of more consequences for actions.
shareThats just my opinion, I think the jury voted for him because he was on extinction island so long. They all obviously formed a bond which is why Chris won.
I wish they would have shown more of what happened on extinction island but the show is called Survivor not edge of extinction.
I think the edge of extinction was a great idea, to have a chance to come back to the game and win was pretty cool. I just never thought someone that had only played a few days would actually win.
Thanks. I actually meant, was it fair to vote him (or any player) out in the first place? I don't think we ever hear the real truth about what players are doing to each other. But the evicted seem to talk about that stuff all the time (previously, at Ponderosa). Letting us hear those conversations, giving us that intel, would make the game much more interesting, I think.
