Highway scene

True. If you count NEO fighting those weirdos in the palace... It just never ends. And goes higher higher higher with a climax.

Yep, easily one of the best action sequences put to film.

A lot of people have some issues with the film, but I loved that entire segment.

I agree. I just watched this movie again and there is a lot wrong with it. All the fight scenes are just way too long.

But the one scene/act that stood out is the highway one. I love that the camera tracks under cars and trucks. That looks impressive today so must have been revolutionary in 2003.

It's been awhile since I've seen the movie. I remember it being a good scene. But I had a problem with morpheus giving so much fight to the agent. In the first matrix, he would of been destroyed quickly by the aagent. But I'd have to go back and rewatch to see if I still feel the same.

Not really. It’s silly and a barf bag of not very high quality cgi.

The greatest scene in the Matrix tril would be when Neo breaks Morpheus out. Shooting up the lobby followed by the helo crash. That’s top 5 sequence.

Aye. The best part about Reloaded is the amazing freeway sequence, mostly because the freeway was actually real and not computer graphics. The Mega City behind the freeway, some vehicles and explosions, and the characters performing death-defying actions usually were.

One thing I noticed in my recent rewatch, in one scene on the freeway, you can clearly see the Transamerica Pyramid in the distance, along with San Francisco and the bridge, which actually aligns it with Neo living in a type of San Francisco portion in the Matrix Resurrections. Later on in the freeway chase we see only the Mega City and its towering skyscrapers and absolutely massive industrial area.
