what is the name of the woman with the very large breasts in the elevator when kurt russel first gets in the elevator?

reply

On the Caddi the plates are "3KMTG". Obviously it's the film title, but why would Mike have it as it's Licence Plates? Was it just a pun by the Director?

reply

Yes it was only meant as a joke by the director....

Or it is also possible that 3kmtg was a vanity plate that stands for 3000 Miles to Go

what happene to the bubblegum girl? I missed that part. . . .

reply

Okay, I'll bite. ;)

Why didn't Murphy die/get sick when he got bitten by the scorpion, and what, if anything, did the scorpion tattoo on his right arm signify?

reply

There was many references to scorpions in the film... the scorpions in the beginning, the one on his belt buckle, the one on his ring, the tattoo... In a way Murphy acted a lot like a scorpion. His aggression, movements (when he breaks Cybil's car window with the pipe), and his refusal to give up even when backed into a corner are all very scorpion-like.

Why he didn't appear sick is that perhaps the specific species of scorpion might not have been lethal to humans. Out of 1500 speicies of scorpions, only 50 are dangerous to humans.

OR

Maybe Murphy was feeling the effects of the scorpion sting, and maybe that's why he didn't gie up in the end.

However, it is the first possiblility that I believe.

I just thought of another one:

Who was Mike's father (that he never met) who left the boat to him? There was a gold record on the floor in the boat. Who did it belong to?

Were they trying to say that Mike was Elvis' other illegitimate son?

reply

Yes, Michael was one of the inconclusive two (with Murphy being the other) from the DNA test. Michael and Murphy could very well have been Elvis' illegitimate children (making them brothers).

Thanks for replying back to my posts on the previous page. I just watched it for the first time in a year or two and I came up with a few questions:

When Cybil took Mike's wallet and left him & Jesse in the resturaunt, how did they pay for their meal?

Why didn't they take Cybil's car from Petersen's? (The only answer I can think of is to keep them in the truck, thus allowing the scene of Mike & Murph in the Boise jail)

When Murph called Jack from jail, where was Jack? Is that Seattle in the background?

How did Murph know about Mike's boat?

And if Elvis left Mike the boat, did he leave Murph anything?

What's the deal with prequels and sequel(s) to this?

reply

Is kurt russel supposed to be Elvis's kid? On the boat he says.."My daddy gave me this boat a looong time ago..I never even knew him...pretty cool huh?" And he says this as he's looking at a gold record. I knew Kevin was supposed to be..but was kurt?

NEED THIS QUESTION ANSWERED!!!!

What is the song that is played when Jack is landing the plane at the dock in front of the warehouse where Murphy is waiting??? I takes place right before Micheal is talking to Cybil in the car and there way to meet up with Murphy. Murphy is walking around in front of the dock and the camera has a blurred/ dreamy effect ot it. Nobody has answered this question yet from what i have seen.

reply

The song is Far Away by Gov't Mule

reply

does the song a little less conversation come out in this movie? i couldn't find it in the soundtrack section. also would you recommend it? what do you give it on scale of 1-10?

reply

Does this movie contain subtle references to the Vietnam War?

They use a Huey as a get away, you have the guy lying on the deck of the Huey, much like the scenes of wounded soldiers from Nam etc.

Been a while since I saw it, but I always felt as if it contained references to the war.

reply

That song isn't included in the movie. I recommend it as a 9 for a movie, but not if your looking for an Elvis soundtrack.

There are a few Vietnam references... especially the fact that Murphy and Jack both served in Vietnam together. Murphy saved Jack's life.

Those were nice.

What brand/style of sunglasses does Kurt Russell wear in this movie. The black ones, not the Elvis ones. I don't think they're RayBans or Polos as someone on Yahoo answers suggested.

reply

The sunglasses were main specifically for the movie by a designer-for-hire, as most of the clothing items from the film are.

Here's a question. It might've been asked here before, but I really don't feel like going through 30 some pages to find it.

The cops in the movie say that 75 people claimed to be the children of Elvis, and 73 of them were proven wrong, with only 2 being inconclusive. Kevin Costner's character was one, right? And I'm guessing, just maybe, Kurt Russell character was the other one? Seeing as how the boat was named Graceland and he said his dad left it to him, the dad he never met. Ok, thinking about it now, I think I pretty much answered myself, lmao.

reply

lol yeah, the two illegitimate were Kurt Russell and Kevin Costner's character. This is confirmed in the movies prequel, found here: http://3kmtg.warnerbros.com

The song when he fires out the window is actually this song but an instrumental version http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMwM9XrCcS4

reply

I also wonder about Kurt Russell's sunglasses. In the scene where they are initially hitting the road in the convertible, I was able to pause the scene and saw what looked like 'Kenneth Cole' written on the side of them. If these were made by Kenneth Cole, finding the exact model/style from 2001 would be difficult...any thoughts?

What kind of sunglasses did David Arquette wear during the casino shootout. Everyone else had the Elvis glasses, but his were different with rhinestones on the sides and black frames. Any idea?
