reply

Sorry Dude it is a scripto lighter.

reply

Actually, when Quigley said "Graceland" he was speaking metaphorically. He was referring to the fact that Murphy was fleeing to Canada- his freedom, his "Graceland". So when he says "I wanna catch this guy before he jumps the border into Canada," that's why he says "I think it's at least 3000 miles to graceland"

At the end, Michael and Cybil have ALL the money (the clean money and the marked money) – what are they going to do with the marked money? Will they eventually find another launderer to “clean” it for them? Thanks! (FYI, I posted this question, too, but I figured you may answer it faster! Thanks!)

reply

The cops figure that Murphy has the marked money, since he killed Jay Peterson. Since Murphy is dead, and the money wasn't recovered, then basically it could be anywhere. As far as the cops know, the money is dispersed through society, and they can't arrest an innocent man who is just using money that he may have got from an ATM or something similar.
Hope that helps!

ok, so they have the shootout scene at the end of the movie, then kevin costners body guard guy gets shot and it goes all slow mo and this guitar thing comes in, and they guy's dying and it's all dramatic. so that's the thing im talking about. anyone know what other movie it was used in? it's something where they give themselves up or something. like i can hear them saying, "ok, we;'re coming out" or something, god it's driving me nuts. i know this isn't really a question about this movie as it is about another movie, but you said ask anything so there it is. it might be "cadillac man" "the chase" or something, i jsut don't know.

reply

yo i just bought this movie and have a quick question. someone might have already asked this, but i didnt want to read through all those otehr pages. Was Murphy planning on shooting all the others from the very beginning of the plan to rob the casino? They way he did it seemed very precise and thought out, but when franklin dies in the helicopter after the job he seems genuinely upset. Any ideas? also the scene with the cowboy cop at the Nevada border was sooooo tight

reply

No, he originally did not want them to die. When Franklin died, he tried to save him. It wasn't until the others got greedy that Murphy decided to be rid of them.

reply

How many times does Kurt Rusell and Kevin Costner each of them on thier own, swear in this movie?

reply

That depends on what you mean by swear. If you mean the f-word, and all variations, then it is as follows:

Murph: 34 times maybe 35 if he completes his sentence when he realizes the bag is filled with nothing but newspaper. I'm not going to list them all... would take too much time.

Mike: 3 times
*beep* it. Shot up everyone in the casino, let's start shootin each other"
*beep* (after Murph shot Hanson)
-"You are *beep* up, Murph, you are seriously a piece of s***"

"That's the only thing expected of man... his good is knowing that he is bad..."

reply

it seems kind of silly to me...
why did costner go to all the trouble of robbing a casino,
killing his partners, catching national heat from the cops, when he could have just gone to mr. lovits direct and strong armed him into giving him alll his money???
Seems like he took the longest route to the money when he could have just grabbed it from the get go..

reply

Because there wouldn't be a movie then.

reply

no i don't, but it's a possibility

my applause to you for knowing this movie so well. Just watched it and it was excellent.

reply

Wich one do you think that is the best Elvis impersonator in this movie?

reply

They're not impersonators, they are tributes! But I think Kurt is the best, especially when he says, "Thank you, Ma'am. Thank you very much!" in the elevator.

"That's a commitment, Hanson. I'll give ya that."

reply

Sorry, my mistake I`d refere to tributes, but añyway there is an impersonator, his name is Shawn Klush, actually he won the resently BBC contest of impersonator and another of nashville before that one. But thanks for the reply I ment TRIBUTE.

reply

man!what happened to all the other topics?

You killed him!
Well,I didn't mean to.
Didn't mean to? You put your sword right through his head!

reply

Who is the busty brunette in the elevator that adjusts her boobs?

reply

[deleted]

Out of the main characters, I would prolly say Mike Zane (Kurt Russel) is the best "tributes".

The girl is Shelly Lien, but I can't find her anywhere else
Shawn Klush was one of the the Elvis impersonators that talked to the newscaster... I believe he was the one who said "and second... he ain't dead"

Who played Courtney Cox's body double in the sex scene?

reply

who was Jay Peterson assistant who murphy mmurdered

reply

1. You are really good at this. I respect you for answering other people's questions.

2.Just seen this for the first time and i absolutely Love it! My first question is why exactly did the critics dislike it so much - there doesn't seem to be anything particularly strikin to hate? ...

3. Finally, at the end when the credits are rolling, Courteney Cox is in a scene applying lipstick and generally sprucing herself up. I was just wondering was this a cut scene or did they just do this for the credits?

Many Thanks.

Oh my god. I love Ross, I hate Ross, I love Ross, I hate Ross!

reply

- It wasn't advertised properly and therefore it was somewhat a box-office flop. Most critics believe that it is a plotless creation of nonstop violence... I don't agree with that, but that it was they claim.

- I think all of the scenes after the credits with the exception of the one with Murphy kissing the bubblegum girl was just filmed for the credits. The Murphy one was a cut scene.
