Why does cousin "Avi" speak soo ill of London?

Even before him going there and suffering losses in relations to that diamond, he says "London, bad food, worse weather" etc, as in, why does he especially single out London for having terrible food and weather?

Also, are there any countries in the world that don't have "bad" food and weather or where it is all generally in order?

Maybe, maybe not. But the point is that bad food and bad weather are common mocking points for the UK.

I guessed that maybe because its not the most convenient place for gangsters to successfully do their criminal activities and make profit or gain benefits out of it is one of its reasons, correct? Especially to someone of HIS ilk?
