Worst Sandler Comedy?

I've always considered it one of the worst for sure.

Wrong? An opinion cannot be wrong. It's my opinion. I don't agree with some of your list and I haven't seen a few of the others.

I actually like this film. There are several Sandler films worse than this one.

reply

There are a few worse films now perhaps, but when it was released his films were largely ok, though I found Waterboy annoying. When this film was released it put me off his movies almost entirely. I have seen part of a couple of his projects since this one and thankfully have not seen films of his some people actually consider worse then this one. Someone posted earlier how this film had such a low rating, I was shocked its rating was as high as it was.

reply

Yeah he has made several since that were far worse. I like Adam Sandler but if you think about it a lot of his comedies are more or less the same. Occasionally he does something a little more thought provoking, but most of his "silly" comedies are one in the same. Maybe that is part of the problem, it just gets old after a while.

I'd consider Little Nicky to be middle ground as far as Adam Sandler films go; not as good as The Wedding Singer, but not nearly as awful as That's My Boy, which I could barely stomach for 15 minutes before I had to stop for the sake of my health...

"...And on this farm he had an igloo..."

reply

Agreed.

I didn't think it was one of Sandler's best but it's definitely not one of his worst.

reply

I enjoyed it more than any of his movies that he made post 2001.

reply

Uh no, Sandler has done far worse

i'm watching it right now...it's fucking horrendous. the hitler scene is pretty funny, and tarantino's cameo is funny simply because of how baffling the casting is. but everything else is horrible. there's a moment near the beginning where sean penn rips a finger off and it cuts to some random demon going "GROSS!" and it's such an awful edit, and the demon's mouth isn't even moving, i had to rewind it 5 times to understand it was just awful dubbing and adr. sandler is probably at his alltime worst here.

Eh it’s got a good soundtrack at least.
