Cole humiliating Stuttering Stanley. That was out of the line

that whole scene of the teacher being humiliated by Cole during class, that really was uncalled for and disrespectful etc.

I dont care if he's a kid who can see ghosts or whatever, he had no right to make fun of a grown person like that

Everyone calls him Twiggy. Like a nickname is more honkey wonky.

While I don't agree with what Cole did, the teacher should not have called him a freak.

I mean, it makes sense that a kid who can see and talk to dead people, that they're also autistically awkward and stupid. Like I felt like smacking him upside for the head for way he dealt with certain things, but that was his journey. He's an idiot, with poor social skills.

It was part defense mechanism, part cry for help. Cole is traumatized and at a breaking point when he perceives that his teacher is giving him crap, so he retaliates, it's almost involuntary. The fact this didn't lead to the teacher helping him in anyway or being more surprised than fearful that Cole knows any of this shows that Cole, while not exactly justified, can't trust the adults in his life to help him and therefore has ample reason to be defensive.
