Mr Frodo

Why does Sam call his best friend MR Frodo.

reply

Britons have that tenacity with classes

reply

I do not think that word means what you think it means.

reply

It is possible, it was a suggestion from a translator

reply

Hello! My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die!

reply

Which word?

What do you think he thinks it means?

What do you think it means?

What does it actually mean?

reply

I'm guessing he meant tendency.

reply

That explains it. And I'm sure you know what it means.

reply

In fact, I know what both Tendency and Tenacity mean. And also Tenacious D.

reply

He looks up to him and is attracted to him.

reply

In the books, he addresses Frodo as "master", and obviously that had to change!

And BTW he was using the word in the old-fashioned way, to mean "employer".

reply

Because in his eyes, they aren't "friends". They're employer and employee, master and servant (not in that way, you pervs). That's the old-time British class system for you.
