Boring...
Too many endings, too much slow motion, and the CGI looked rushed.
It was an end to a trilogy, which was why everyone went. Honestly, I couldn't care to see it again.

shareThe whole ending was about 20 separate melodramatic endings. Each was slow motion, cringy, and drawn out. They could have probably ended it with a quick montage. But, like the last two Harry Potter movies, they dragged.
shareIf i'm really splitting it up i can make it into 4 endings which didn't go on for more than a few minutes each.
The Fellowship reunites.
Aragorn is crowned.
The hobbits return to The Shire.
Frodo, Bilbo and Gandalf goes to the gray havens.

Here's a perspective and it's generally positive.
Personally, I think the third movie sucks. Viggo Mortenson was the second weakest actor next to Orlando Bloom. The ending just added 30 minutes onto the weakest of the three films. It was boring. End it at the volcano next Time you watch it, you'll be pleasantly surprised. Actually, don't watch the ghost army either. The CGI looks terrible and their battle was equal to erasing pencil marks on paper.

I loved the ending, things just stopping at Mount Doom would've bothered me a lot, 3 massive movies needed that half hour to cool down and reflect back before saying goodbye. The only thing i hate with ROTK is how the original cut left out the death of Saruman. I don't know what Peter Jackson was thinking there.
shareThey tried, but the Hobbit war looked silly. It would have made Wormtongue a better villian. He ended up being disappointing.
shareI don't know how Wormtongue is in the books but he was funny with how patethic he was to me, like a comic relief in villain form, not sure if that was the purpose though.

GOT has been the most overhyped overrated high budget soap opera on the planet. And like most show like it. It has a shitty ending that its fans hate. I would think you people would get the hint by now. That the writers run out of ideas long before the show ends. I would feel sorry for you. But i rather laugh my ass off that you wasted 8 years of your life. Watching some melodramatic drivel with bad ending. The only thing the show had going for it was the acting. And like most Soaps its about assholes being assholes. "
