How did you come across this movie?

Did you watch it in theatres when it was released, or did you find it later on?

I found it whilst browsing Netflix about three years ago. I was going to turn it off after 5 minutes because I initially found Enid and Rebecca annoying, but I started to enjoy it more as it went on. By the end of the film, I was blown away. I adore this film. And I've discovered a lot of other great films because of it, too.

At a video store, about 10 years ago. I was a fan of the documentary Crumb for years, so the DVD practically leapt out at me when I read "An Unforgettable Comedy from the Director of Crumb" on the front cover.

I honestly can't remember. I think I just saw the dvd on a shelf, and it looked interesting. I was a fan of Thora Birch so I figured I've give this a shot. And I'm glad I did. I've loved this movie ever since.

Seize the moment, 'cause tomorrow you might be dead.

I was looking for music of Aimmee Mann and there was a song the person I downloaded from (Morpheus I think) called Ghost Word, I dont even think the song appears in the movie but I found out about the movie and found it in a library and presto!

I saw the poster at my local movie theatre but I thought it was a copy of the movie "Welcome to the dollhouse" (which I did not like) so I did not watch it.

Years later I watched it one day when I was bored and I was surprised by its quality. It became instantly in one of my favorite movies.

Browsing movie channels. Yup, good ol’ channel surfing some odd years ago.

I think I stumbled upon it very early on and when I realized the main girl was Thora Birch, I wanted to see more of the film; it had been a while since I watched her in a “new” movie so seeing her as Enid was... wow. Then I noticed Scarlett Johansson, an odd-looking but recognizable Illeana Douglas, Steve Buscemi, Renfro, and I had enough good reasons to continue watching this film (I would have seen it for Thora alone, in fact most of the times I do).

The film did manage to keep me interested all the way through. It wasn’t the most uplifting film but it was fascinating and relatively profound. Needles to say, it became a favorite of mine.

IMDB boards. Always check out "similar movies" threads of stuff you like.

Nothing so exciting for me. I still have cable (well ATT UVerse anyway) saw it on Starz and decided to DVR it. I suppose the fact that Steve Buscemi was in it was my major prompt.

Boy am I ever glad, I found this great movie.
