the revival will ruin will & grace

It was good for what it was.

reply

Then don't watch it.

reply

It was never more than a time-killer for me anyway. As soon as Jack and Karen became the main characters, it tanked.

I don't understand this mentality. you have every option to just not watch the revival? And let us enjoy it?
Like, I was never a fan of Full House but I dont crawl the message boards dissing the revival/remake though I've heard it's pretty fcking terrible.

NBC is bringing a classic, high-rated show back. What's the harm?

reply

I sometimes like to watch TV that I know will be bad. I can't have an opinion about it if I don't tune in. I am glad you will enjoy it. My opinion shouldn't stop you or anyone else from being entertained. I only watched it the first time around because my wife liked it. That tummy-touch between Karen and Jack in the original pilot is something we still do around the house occasionally. I don't think I've ever felt the need to watch it in syndication.

It is.

I am surprised candice cameron says good stuff about a new will & grace revival I don't find her to be the most gay friendly person.

reply

Is the show coming back for just 10 episodes, or are they just going to see how those episodes do and then bring it back permanently?

reply

According to what I've read, just 10.
But nothing is written in stone, so I guess we'll see.

Thanks

And you had the option not to read this thread. The title was pretty clear.

reply

I don't think it will fit well either. My concern is that since there will be only ten episodes, they'll serialize it too much, more than a sitcom typically does or needs.

reply

Also, I don't get all the hate on the finale. And now they're retconning it. I felt like it worked. It went with the theme of wanting the characters to have some independence from each other.

It's getting 16 episodes for the new season 9 revival and is already renewed for 13 episodes for the 10th season next year

reply

I think the first episode of the revival was better than the entire 8th season. I'm sorry, but this show had lost it's way by the end.
