To me those Disney films are just really bad fan fiction and not actual Star Wars movies. When I was a kid I used to try to write my own movies but they would just be recycled plots from other movies, well that’s basically what the sequel trilogy is, something a kid could have come up with.

reply

wow that's true.

They weren't far away from coming up with a beautiful trilogy for our age to be fair.

They got it right in that the films should have focused on Luke and his love for space cow milk. However they should have shown him virtually enslaving that entire race to the machinery of a 24/7 milking production line. Owning his own dairy "evil empire" if you will.

In retrospect it seems quite obvious that Ray should have been a transgender vegan desperate to bring down Luke's evil milking Empire.

Really that was the Star Wars story for today's market...

reply

it hasn't aged badly either

Let me put that in perspective for you:

When Phantom Menace came out in 1999, Return of the Jedi was 16 years old.

reply

Different generations of moviemakers, and they seem to be getting worse.

reply

Sure, but that wasn't the point.
