"Why is it you never got married, Freddy?"

"All the best girls were taken."

I held back my tears when I saw this scene more than 15 years ago. But I had to cut loose today. The Springsteen song adds to the scene.

Here is a youtube link for this memorable scene - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SWIEkbjgDQ

They call me Eraserhead.

very corny; I held back the laughter.

@stones78
That's cause your a douche.

reply

LOL at this thread...

I, for one, can't even decide... it's both! Tear-jerking AND little corny.

I own you.

He got laid 5 minutes later so it worked didn't it

That was real? I saw that movie, I thought it was bullsh*t

reply

It could have been corny, but I thought he delivered the line sweetly, with all that heartbreak barely contained beneath the words.

"You can't eat the orange and throw the peel away, a man is not a piece of fruit."

reply

Near the end of the film, she says something very mean to Freddie about trying to walk in her husband's shoes. She became a piece of crap, imo.

reply

typical bitch whore
turns rancid on a good man on a dime

reply

Shut up, you sexist troll. The woman Freddy saved and knew wasn't his GF or anything, and wasn't dating him, plus she was married to a no-good abusive drunk. So your calling her stupid names made no sense at all.

reply

i stand on business, brother

reply

did you have a typical bitch whore turn rancid on you?

reply

must be a rhetorical question

reply

definitely rhetorical question. You're obviously just a frustrated basement dwelling incel who hates woman cause none will go anywhere near you. Also anyone who says "stand on business" is an automatic clown.

reply

i'll have you know i moved out of the basement more than 6 months ago after my brother moved out and i got to take his room that has a window

reply

I thoroughly enjoy this movie and probably watch it once a week.. Now, I'm not sure how this movie would've performed without the awesome supporting cast, but still??
