Movies With a Similar Vibe

Does anyone know any movies with a similar vibe? Similar locations and a similar mood.

All I can think of are other works by David Lynch: Wild at Heart and Twin Peaks.

If you know anything, let me know! Thanks.

Deep End (1970)
Demonlover (2002)
The Double Life of Veronique (1991)
Safe (1995)
Body Double (1984)

Scarlet Street (1945)

Especially the first four, but all have a similar vibe or story to some degree.

Thank you!

No problem! Oh, I also forgot Michael Haneke's Cache (2005), which borrows a major plot point from Lost Highway.

Awesome, I'll check it out

Enemy is fantastic! It really does have its "Lynch Moments." Villenueve is my favorite filmmaker today. I just watched Simon Killer and I can attest to that as well, I was full of questionable thoughts, torn in emotion etc, all of which Lynch has done to me over and over. Good list!

The Machinist (2004)
Carnival of Souls (1962)
Abre Los Ojos (1997) or the remake Vanilla Sky (2001)
Donnie Darko (2001)
Videodrome (1983)
Fatal Attraction (1987)
The Jacket (2005)
The Butterfly Effect (2004)

Lynch's film has its own unique mood and aesthetics (as does most of his work), although these films are more or less similar in terms of tone and style.

You want something corny? You got it!

As you say, another Lynch work, but I'm surprised you didn't mention Mulholland Drive. Some parts of Blue Velvet, too.
