With everything getting a reboot over the past decade it seems, I’m surprise there hasn’t been a new Species movie. I could totally see the film being reworked for the “woke” feminist movement since the main character is a super-powered woman who kills horny men. I could even see the plot being changed slightly with Sil trying to find the perfect mate and thus killing guys who don’t meet her genetic requirements that try to have sex with her, and playing up how she did not choose her existence, exposing the corruption of the scientists and making her more of an antihero than a villain.

From what I read, that Scarlett Johansson movie 'UNDER THE SKIN' is like an arthouse version of the same idea.

I saw that when it first came out but need to rewatch it. If I remember correctly that was focused more on the trippy seduction aspect as opposed to the biological/reproductive aspect. In some ways Ex Machina is kind of like Species but with a robot since it involves a female science creation that has lost control and uses seduction to get what she wants.

Why would we need that? I'm going to give this a big NO. The sequels were shitty enough.
