The Dark Alternate Ending of ‘Die Hard With a Vengeance’ Betrays John McClane

That ending is bullcrap for the premise of the FBI thinking John was in cahoots with Simon. How could they even think that with how he killed so many of Simon's men? That makes no sense. Hell Simon and Zeus were nearly blown up by Simon on the boat! Not to mention if he was in cahoots with Simon, why would he risk his life to get the bomb off the subway train? That alternate ending feels like it's connected to a completely different movie.

Could have set up an epic Die Hard 4 where McClane was the villain.
