"Cinderella wasn't 12 years old"

Now that's just not fair. It's not Casper's fault he died as a child. Now he's stuck permanently being 12 forever. How many years has he been dead? That should be his real age.

reply

We weren't sure how long he's been dead for. Given the age of the mansion, you'd think it was a long time ago. He'd be old. Why not bring him back to life at 12 given he had unfinished business?

I think he meant it wasn't fair that she only gave him until 10 instead of 12 by giving the reason that he's only twelve years old. Even though he died decades ago and shouldn't be considered 12 anymore.

I did not like that part of her treating him like a child. He was 12 when he died. But, he had been dead for over 80 years. He had traveled, read books and newspapers, and had experiences that made him emotionally an adult by any definition.

reply

And still acted like a child, honestly. Not in a negative way, but he was clearly still just a kid.

Let's be bad guys.

reply

@vpurvis I agree! It was very belittling and unfair.

Couldn't be that long ago- Duke Snider played in the late 40's till the early 60's.

Though the picture of his father in the newspaper would belie that...

If he aged after death, he'd be a geriatric ghost.

reply

She should have given him more time considering what happened at the end.

reply

Her daughter was also twelve. Mom is looking out for her kid.

reply

She was pointing out that there was a reason he was restricted to 10 pm for being alive again, rather than midnight like Cinderella.
