Any rate season 4 starts with Quinn and Beckett finally following Wade
and Remy home to Earth Prime. Oh Noes! The Kromaggs have invaded Earth
Prime! Wade and Remy have been captured! Stupidity ensues as Quinn and
Beckett rescue Remy. Not surprising since this episode was ripping off
'V'. Wade has been shipped off to a breeding facility on another world.
I think we all know how well that works out for her. At the end of
the season 4 premiere REVELATION!! Quinn meets his mother in Kromagg
prison and she's not his birth mother! She's a doppelganger of his real
mother from another world! I expect Ian can list all the daytime soaps
that rips off. But there's more! Real other world Mommy and Daddy are
from a world where humans and Kromaggs have lived together for hundreds
of years! Until the Kromaggs started a "civil" war. Mommy and Daddy
dropped baby Quinn off on another world to keep him safe while they
worked on a top secret weapon to win the civil war against the Kromaggs!
Two years later they came back for him but Earth Prime doppelganger
Mommy and Daddy hid him because they loved him too much. Of course all
this contradicts the season 2 episode that introduced the Kromaggs and
the season 3 episode where doppelganger Quinn Alpha (the one who solved
Quinn Prime's equation for him so he could slide) explains that he gave
the Kromagg world the sliding equation, unleashing them on the
multiverse. But that's okay because these season 4 Kromaggs are cheaper
facial prosthesis Kromaggs than the season 2 Kromaggs. So Quinn Alpha
must have unleashed a third version of the Kromaggs. Or a second
version and the season 4 versions are the third version? (Did I mention
that this is not a show that rewards thinking about what's going on?
No? Okay, consider it mentioned now.) But again its all okay because
continuity is for shows limited to a single dimension.

The real point of the new Mommy and Daddy are to give a McGuffin for Our
Heroes(tm) to chase after instead of staying on Earth Prime and ripping
of 'V' some more. (Sorry, "become a homage to 'V'". What did I say
about thinking about this?) Because they must have succeeded in
building their super weapon and winning their civil war in order to come
back to Earth Prime and fail to retrieve Quinn Prime! So Our Heroes(tm)
have to find said super weapon to save Earth Prime, which Quinn Prime
isn't even from anyways.

Oh, also Quinn Prime has a brother hidden on yet another Earth. New
Mommy and Daddy give Quinn Prime the co-ordinates to that Earth to Our
Lead Hero(tm) but not their own. No mention is made of why they
couldn't retrieve him or if they even tried to. So Quinn Prime has to
first find Brother Quinn to (hopefully) get the co-ordinates of New
Mommy and Daddy's Earth to they can find the McGuffin ^H^H^H^H^H^H^H
Kromagg Defeating Super Weapon.

So that's where we stand as I slide into new to me episodes of
'Sliders', immediately after the show jumped the Flaming Soap Bubbles
Emitting Rancid Onion (tm pending).

Oh, and Wuhrer is gone from redhead to brunette. Sorry to bury the lead.
