shareno. it fail because it try to be family friendly. arnie does not suit pg-13 actions with bright tone and cartoon character and wuss violence.
arnie is hard-R hero. he is a medieval warriors living in modern time. his film like terminator etc reflect this bad assery.
every film he do that is aim at kids stinks. this, jingle all the way (yuck), twins, kindergarden cop, junior - shit films. arnie is savage warrior and should do violent action film that is his MO.

shareit have tone inconsistent problems. film should either be cutesy family comedy or tough and grittys. you cannot have both!!
film opens like r-rated movie - arnie with shotgun tear assing wusses. then film becomes pg-family. this confuse me as kid and still confuse todays. would be better as r-rated all way through.
for examples, you have arnie singing with kids and reading bed time story in one scene, then in next scene you have bad man using car door to brutally beat man and steal his toy hahahahahahahahaha!!!
There are huge fan base to all the movie you mention, me myself love them all, I think Arnold is not only good as a action here, he also at his best when he make fun of himself.
It's true there are some almost R-rated scenes mixed with more family friendly scenes but it didn't ruin my movie experience at all not as a child and not today.
yes boromir i have no problem with peoples who enjoy these comedy arnie films but they do not work well for me as i prefer savage arnie action film where he pulverize baddys on mass.
also there is many funny moments in savage arnie action film like raw deals, total recall, running mans - many one liners etc so i dont need to see him do comedys as i prefer arnie as savage action film with some comedy rather than comedy/family arnie with some action thrown in for good measures.
