Obviously he plays the priest in the prologue but does he also voice the captain of the Demeter? It sure sounds like him.

Yeah it's him, it doesn’t spoil the film or anything but he sounds too much like Van Helsing in that voice over.

Uhhhh I know that, he sounds alike the character he's already playing.

Van Helsing was never on the Demeter

Hopkins played multiple characters, he was also the Priest in the prologue. I never said he was playing Van Helsing in that scene. It's kind of like how in Hook Dustin Hoffman also plays the captain of the airplane along with Captain Hook

You should word your comments a little better next time. You made it sound like it was Van Helsing in the church at the beginning

He also does the voice over in the opening scene. I just assumed Van Helsing was sort of the narrator of the story and was reading out the ship's logs.
