My 15-year old daughter found out about Christian Slater from making her watch Kuffs and I mentioned seeing this when I was her age. We caught it together and both loved it.

Slater does a fantastic job, Samantha Mathis was breathtaking, the music is incredible, and I think the message it tries to push holds up.

Not sure why this movie continues to slip through the cracks. I think it's just as great and powerful of message as Breakfast Club and other iconic teen films of that era.

She just didn't make it as a huge star after a few tries. I watched The Clovehitch Killer a year or so back and the wife looked familiar. I was blown away to realize it was her.
