Was Jimmy Going to Kill His Crew Anyways??

After Lufthansa:

Stacks gets killed because he screwed up by not getting rid of the truck, and it was rumored that the FED's had gotten his finger prints.

The one guy and his wife are killed for immediately buying a big, gaudy Cadillac.

Frankie Carbone is killed for buying his wife a mink coat.

But the other guys in the crew were also killed and found in a dumpster. As far as we know they followed instructions and didn't make any big purchases that drew attention. So was Jimmy just planning on killing everyone from the beginning as a way to separate himself from the heist? Or did his paranoia get the better of him as more and more of his guys did stupid things, and he just assumed they all would eventually. And could Tommy have been on the chopping block too, until he found out he was going to get made?

reply

Yes

Henry said it in the narration: it made Jimmy sick to give the money to the guys who earned it. He’d rather whack them

In the real life version, Tommy was dumb enough to be seen without his mask (it was hot in the hangar) so he likely would’ve been next

reply

Almost certainly yes. The stupid actions of the other guys and the discovery of the truck gave him a better excuse for doing so.

Yeah. In a documentary I watched on the real life events, he went out of his way to kill everyone involved with the crime so he could keep more of the money for himself. He was a really screwed up remorseless guy.
