Chris

The radio DJ guy, played by John Corbett. I've scanned all the posts and didn't see anything about him, so he must not be one of the more popular characters. To me, he was the low point of a show I liked, otherwise--pretentious, self-important, full of phony hipness, and always spouting his pseud philosophy. A thoroughly pompous tool.

Fine if you like him; to each his own. And nothing against Corbett, he was just doing his job.

reply

I agree 100%. I couldn't stand his little radio sermons.

reply

Exactly.

The whole point of Northern Exposure was a celebration of "quirkiness", or more generally, outsiders. In that respect, he was really no different from the other residents from Cicely, just with a slightly more eccentric flavor.

reply

i found his character a lot less threatening. he was a philosophical goofball. he was a version of The Dude.

reply

The Dude was an affable stoner with no pretention. Chris is pretentious and full of himself.

reply

I was totally in love with him and Jordan Catalano.
