I personally thought this was the best Indiana Jones movie.

The reasons why I liked this movie the best is because I loved the chemistry between Harrison Ford and Sean Connery's characters and those two were a lot of fun to watch.

Agreed. It's my favourite in the series, mostly because of the interplay between Ford and Connery, and the well-pitched humour. Brody and Sallah were also given more to do this time, and I felt the film featured the most effective and despicable villains in the franchise. Plus, Alison Doody as Elsa was HOT!

You have a very strange taste in films, this is one of the worst films I have ever seen.

reply

It was the first Indiana Jones movie I ever saw

reply

It's a top film csweetleaf2. Ignore Hippo.

It was the first Indiana Jones I saw on the big screen, and the first I saw from beginning to end (I think I'd only seen snatches of Temple of Doom by that stage, and nothing of Raiders).

This film was clearly a huge step down from the first two, I mean we traded mature themes like black magic and child slavery for Mickey Mouse jokes and kiddie humor. Not to mention it has some of the most bland, uninspired acting I have ever seen and the script was riddled with plot holes.

According to the data it is better than temple of doom. Therefore it is better by the objective data even on your precious imdb. Read the data and weep lol. So no apparently his taste isn't strange since the majority agrees that its a good film. Try again hippo.

I also loved the scene where they were in the tank, I thought the tank driver looked funny with the goggles he was wearing.

I'm with you man great film. I feel this one had more fun dynamics none of the others had.

THATS WHAT I THOUGHT WHEN I READ THE TITLE...SEAN CONNERY ISTHE MAIN ATTRACTION IN LAST CRUSADE.

reply

I Agree with you there They Father and Son does it for me also I argue the Grail has presented the most Logical TOD is the worse

reply

I like Temple the best.

It's tense, there's a lot riding on what he does, I like Indian culture, and the characters are good.

The chemistry between Ford and Connery was indeed one of the strong points. Nazis are also good bad guys, I welcomed them back after Temple of Doom misadventure. John Williams score. Those I liked. The one I didn't like was the young Indiana Jones adventure in the beginning. And making Brody (Denholm Elliot) a comic relief.

Raiders is the best of the series. It has an incredible cast and all around clever high quality film making that is probably wasted on regular/casual viewers. They don't make movies like that anymore, and probably haven't done much before either.
