I think they could have come up with something better that 'dead bang'?

Great movie with a lousy title, Don Johnson is good even though his character has more problems than carter's got pills. If you don't learn anything else from this movie you'll learn that 'there is something besides death and taxes'

Agreed, its a lousy title and almost put me off watching this movie which was very good

It's police slang for an easy job, cf. Armstrong's book on Frankenheimer.

I agree. The title is what drew me to it. Not a bad movie either.

I don't like the title but when the movie was released, I didn't know what the expression meant. Once learning the definition I use it often. Still don't like the title.
