All the bad guys wore three piece suits

The movie takes place in this rural, dusty town and at some muddy horse farm but all the bad guys are walking around in three piece suits and shiny dress shoes. The wardrobe was so out of place I still don’t understand what the costume people were thinking. It was like they thought the audience had to be constantly reminded Malone was dealing with “corporate” henchmen or something.

The bad guys were fascist oligarchs that run the country and were taking it over ... like the Koch brothers. Pretty accurate and exactly what happened too over the last 30 years. 3 piece suits were signifying bankers and super-rich hotshots.

It's funny seeing oligarchs used in an American context these days because it's so associated with Putin and his cronies. Then I remembered I first came across it in Jack London's The Iron Heel.

Oligarchy has nothing to do with Olga 😏
