Kind of want to watch it because of Elisabeth Shue but hope it la not like the Goonies where you hear people gush about it nonstop and when you watch it finally you realize it sucks and it’s only beloved for nostalgia reason
shareIt's pretty good. I loved it in the 1980s and read the novelization of it many times. I watched it last year for the first time in probably 25 years and was pleasantly surprised at how it holds up. It's better than a lot 80s flicks gen-Xers love.

80s film like this have fun adventure tone like goonies, spacecamps etc. 80s magic like no other. they stay with you. you remember first time you saw them and remember forever.
it is also kids movie with line "dont f-k with the babysitter" hahah. this would not be allow today.
I watched it tonight and really enjoyed watching it a lot (I'm in my 40's).

shareWatched it last year and would say, it was an OK 80s comedy. The good here is, that not many scenes felt dated, but could easily translated to modern days (except when Disney proof its not). Not every 80s comedy can say this. I gave it after first view 6 out of 10.
