HUGE problem with this film.

the ending.

Jason has super human strength literally folds the sheriff in half, yet a rusted chain and a rock that tommy Jarvis can lift, holds him to the bottom of the lake?!?

kills the whole film

reply

I think it had something to do with Jason drowning, like the water had a certain power over him?

Although, it would seem Jason didn't actually drown, so I'm not sure what the deal was there.

reply

I thought water was always Jason's weakness, what made him "human". So that makes sense if that was the angle the director was going for

reply

that would work, if Jason didn't go into the water and kill people all the time.

reply

Valid point. Back to the rock and chain thing - its tough moving around in water, so maybe that helped keep Jason down there. After being resurrected via lightning, telekinesis, and electrocution, belief of anything in this franchise is suspended haha.

reply

yeah I realize I am nitpicking but it just seems too ridiculous that Jason can snap that chain.

reply

Also keep in mind he was struggling and possibly would've escaped until the propeller from the boat's motor chewed up his head and neck (miraculously leaving the hockey mask in place).

reply

Yeah, it's clear that he didn't just drown chained to the rock; the propeller did him in.

reply

And then 2 movies later, he swims.
