So I see that Rob Lowe won for worst supporting actor for his role in this movie, and I want to hear from people that have seen this movie, do you think his performance was that bad? Do you think he deserved to win for worst supporting actor and why or why not?
shareWhile his character was a fairly lousy human being, I don't think Lowe's acting was any better or worse. He played an aging, charismatic frat boy that refused to grow up - I'd day he pulled it out about as well as anyone could have at the time.
shareI agree. When I think of poorly played roles, he’s never stood out. I can certainly think of worse. Besides, they weren’t going for an Oscar, and he’s eye candy. It’s all good for an 80’s Brat Pack flick.

Enough pretty white folks who struggle, but not this bunch of clowns who pretty much created all of their own problems. I can't believe Schumacher wrote and directed this, what I can believe is that he had trouble selling the script and that the head of one major studio called them "the most loathsome humans he had ever read on the page".

This piece of crap was on HBO about 20 times a month when i was a kid...me and my sister must have watched it dozens of times...its still our little inside joke 30+ years later...i may literally 'hate-watch' this pc of crap again very soon...for giggles!

My sister and I have only seen this movie once, but we're still traumatized by it. The only thing I like is the theme song, because it's glorious 80s cheese. And originally written for a Canadian Paralympian who went around the world in his wheelchair, which is actually a much more interesting story.
