So Arnold gets arrested at the weapons supply store, yet the police don't put him in handcuffs. Then the girl fires the rocket launcher at the police van and the van as well as everyone inside should have been blown to bits. Instead it just rolls over and conveniently, Arnold gets out the back unharmed and into the car. This scene and sequence of events was too implausible and doesn't fit in with the rest of the movie

Nothing implausible. Maybe this movie is too manly for you.
I'm surprised you haven't commented on the car crash with Arnie and the girl. They're speeding, then their car hits a pole or tree or something at speed and immediately, in a fraction of a second, Arnie is leaning over to check on the girl when both of them should be knocked out or concussed or whiplashed or whatever.
Millsey72, basically, Commando has never been known for its realism.
I have a problem with Arnie hanging runty guy from Dreamscape over the cliff edge. Nobody holds that much weight at that distance for that long!
