New episodes of Neighbours set to show on Amazon in 2023!

Stefan Dennis, [Paul Robinson] Alan Fletcher, [Dr Karl Kennedy] and Ryan Moloney [Toadfish] are all set to return.

I'd love to see Guy Pearce [Mike] and Annie Jones [Jane] continue their storyline too!

Ha ha - no way Guy Pearce will reappear full time!

Great for the fans that it's continuing after all but it's going to turn that finale episode into a bit of a joke pretty swiftly - what say we get a quick conversation with Toadie and Jane say about how it was really sad Mike had so quickly changed his mind (!) then it will be on with the show, no more mention of Mike...

LOL yep, I had not watched the show in about 20 years, the best thing about the finale was Mike and Jane, it was good of Guy Pearce to return and act a little.

reply

Yeah, he was a real pro and made a mockery of the "efforts" of a couple of other ex cast members.

I hadn't watched it in even longer but feel a bit cheated now since I wasted a bit of time in binge watching maybe the last 7/8 episodes so I could tell what was going on and feel a bit invested in the finale! 😂 Still, glad it's been saved...

Imagine Kylie, Jason, Guy and Margot robbie all check their final ep contracts to see in small print that should Neighbours ever come back they are required to be in it full time

It's a commodity, they sell it

Never thought I'd see a streaming service pick up a soap opera.

Bad idea Amazon. Neighbours is one of the most overrated pieces of garbage in TV history.

Terrible acting, boring, lifeless stories. It's just boring people sitting around in obvious studio set houses, whinging about nothing, with long concerned gazes whenever someone leaves the room. Cut to the person in the room who now has a worried look on their stupid face. That's it. That's what Neighbours is, nothing more.

The "lifer" actors were in auto-pilot. Zombies of rubbish TV.

Amazon has been fooled into believing people *seriously* like this show, enough to keep watching after it was put down. The truth is, very few people like it. It was "liked" as a joke, but absolutely nobody really cared about the story, actors, or anything about it. Most were happy to see it end. Amazon are fools for going anywhere near this garbage.
