Yeah but who the hell could play Axel Foley, satisfyingly, besides Eddie? Seriously...

His personality DEFINES that character.

The Lethal Weapon TV series sucked balls and didn't last, because NO OTHER ACTORS could take the place of, or recreate the chemistry of Glover and Gibson together as Murtaugh and Riggs.

CBS actually did try to get a Beverly Hills Cop TV series off the ground back in 2013. It was going to focus on Axel Foley's son, played by Brandon T. Jackson.
