What's with Luke force choking the piggie guys at the start?

He's a bit bad ass in this one isn't he?

He turns up, chokes these poor guys (just doing their jobs) to death rather than using a simple Jedi mind trick to get past them. Then he begins taunting poor Jabba to let Solo go or he's going to regret it, last thing he'll do if he doesn't, etc. Then he kills that poor creature locked up in the basement that's being held captive for the court's amusement.

Then for his coup de grace, him and his buddies take out Jabba and his entire power structure, when surely a man of his potential could have removed Han relatively simply without any loss of life.

In many ways this seems reminiscent of Gulf War 2 and the removal of Saddam Hussein. Basically our heroes here do their job and sod off, leaving a power vacuum akin to opening the gates of hell and resulting in a massive loss of live of Tatooine. Seems quite irresponsible and not exactly what you'd consider "the Jedi way"...

Maybe Luke had just read Lord of the Rings!

Gamorrean guards were pretty awesome looking creatures, a shame we never saw more of them in the prequels! Great design and among my fave Star Wars figures as a kid.

He killed that giant creature in self defense. It was going to kill him unless he killed it. Also I didn't think he killed the guards. Just choked them a bit. Also maybe their biology makes them resistant to the force. Kind of like Jabba.
